I disagree: Yate is clean and all usual controls are logical and intuitive. Developer keeps a frequent update policy, with continuous improvement and quick support answer – although you will rarely need it. About all tasks could be batched through easy-to-make actions, all saved with a very convenient export/import preferences option. The app is fast and stable even for large collections, and it can handle iTunes database with direct linking and adding. Even the play counts or private info, not editable in iTunes, can be changed in Yate. List of artists, composers and genres could be recorded from the changes you do. Renumbering track is just two clicks away. Renaming files from tags and vice-versa are easy to make. You can use it just for the basic tasks (normalize artist name, album, genre), add artwork (with customizable search criteria) or edit even the more obscure information (beyond the average need but fundamental for serious library management). I use Yate for almost three years and consider it the best tag editor available by a large margin.
